MFC Analyzer/Controller
The Wallace & Tiernan® Systems MFC analyzer/controller offers a broad combination of drinking water analysis and disinfection/chemical control in a single unit.

Up to four water quality parameters, such as free and total chlorine, chlorine dioxide, ozone, fluoride, conductivity, ORP, pH, and temperature can be measured by single or multiple cells. The MFC analyzer/controller offers an easy, software selectable range of control modes enabling precise control of a chlorinator or metering pump to maintain the desired level of disinfection and water quality.
Applications
- Municipal water treatment
- Municipal wastewater treatment
- Industrial water and process water
Benefits / Features
- On-line continuous measurement of up to 4 key water quality parameters in one instrument
- Four different selectable control types, together with automatic set-point adjustment
- Plug and play utility for simple upgrade, in the field
- Intuitive programming for user-friendly operation
- Reliable flow and pressure controlled sensor flow cell options ensuring stability of measurement parameters
SFC Series
Analyzers & Controllers

The Wallace & Tiernan® Systems SFC analyzers & controllers are highly flexible measurement and control systems for use in disinfection and water chemistry control applications. The SFC series offer continuous measurement and control of a wide variety of water quality parameters (free chlorine, total chlorine, pH, ORP, conductivity, fluoride and more). As a single input device, the SFC unit can be used to monitor any one of a number of different measurement technologies and perform a related control function suited to the specific application.
Applications
- Potable water treatment
- Waste water treatment
- Cooling water circuits
- Industrial and process water treatment
- Swimming pools
Benefits / Features
- Measurement and control of single parameters (multiple parameters via CAN sensor/actuator bus)
- Simple configuration and operation
- Use in conjunction with proven DEPOLOX®, VariaSens, Micro/2000®, Deox/2000® measurement cells
- Four different control modes can be selected
- Easy data connection to SCADA systems and web technology
- SD card storage of configuration menu as well as measurement and control data
SFC PC Process Controller
The Wallace & Tiernan® Systems SFC PC system controls on the basis of a controlled variable (e.g. a flow signal) and an actual value signal which can be an external mA signal.

Thanks to the fuzzy technology, compound loop control with flow rate and access to the controlled process variable (e.g. chlorine) results in significantly improved control. The SFC PC system saves its reactions to control deviations permanently and uses this data as a basis for future control, allowing the control variables to be balanced optimally with the flow and the control parameters.
Applications
Compound loop control is ideal for disinfection control as well as the control of other chemical parameters in:
- Potable water treatment plants
- Cooling water circuits
- All types of industrial/process water applications
Benefits / Features
- Supports up to four control modes, including process optimised, adaptive control and setpoint trim mode
- Very precise control, preventing over or underfeed
- Adjustable measuring range and units
- Easy to operate thanks to intuitive menu navigation and clear, easy-to read display, diagnostics menu to simplify maintenance
- Galvanically isolated inputs and outputs simple firmware updates using an SD card or R S 232
- RS 485 port, CAN sensor/actuator bus interface and slot for fieldbus systems
SFC SC
Flow Proportional Control

The SFC SC system is used for flow proportional controlled dosing of chemicals used in water treatment and for similar industrial process applications. It can control automatic v-notch positioners in gas feed systems, such as the V10k™ and V2000™ systems, or automatic stroke length positioners and variable speed drives in dosing pump systems. The SFC SC system is available either as standalone wall-mounted unit, equipment-mounted, or as a panel-mountable unit for installation in a control enclosure.
Applications
- Potable water treatment
- Waste water treatment
- Cooling water circuits
- Industrial and process water treatment
- Swimming pools
Benefits / Features
- Determines the control signal for the positioner/dosing pump from the control variable and the dosing factor Sets the position of the positioner accurately using a feedback signal
- Automatic correction in the event of nonlinearity of the gas feeder
- Wide dosage range: 10 – 400 %
- Electronic override
- Milliamp or relay output control signals
- Security access
- Easy to operate thanks to intuitive menu navigation, diagnostics menu to simplify maintenance and installation, automatic display of any faults
- Multiple correction values can be used for linearization of the dosing feedback
- Graphical display of all parameters and process variables
